The Knights Armament SR-30 Mod 2 upper takes advantage of the 300 blackout, offering a 9.5” barrel that is as capable as an 11.5” 5.56mm SBR, for a significantly more transportable and maneuverable firearm. The 9.5in Mod 2 upper features a Knights Armament’s MOD 2 series 300 blackout barrel free floated inside a URX4 M-LOK handgaurd with a 3-prong flash hider. This Knights Armament SR-30 upper is a drop in replacement compatible with any milspec lower receiver.

The KAC SR-30 upper receiver group is one of the most sought after 300 blackout CQB upper receivers on the market. Fielded by FBI, Secret Service, and other government agencies the 9.5 SR-30 Mod 2 upper is the perfect combination of ballistics, maneuverability and concealability. With the shortened barrel length from the 11.5 5.56 the SR-30 upper gives the shooter a platform to better conceal and maneuver in extremely tight spaces while not giving up ballistic effectiveness compared to longer 5.56 options. The shooter also can seamlessly transition from subsonic ammunition to supersonic with nothing more than a change of the magazine.

Barrel

This 9.5in chrome lined barrel features KAC’s improved E3.2 round-lug bolt design. The improved E3.2 round-lug bolt design both enhances reliability during function and increases bolt life far beyond the industry standard. This is especially crucial for shooters operating their weapons in harsh environments or under increased pressures with a suppressor. Combining the E3.2 bolt design and machine gun grade chrome lining this is arguably the most durable barrel on the market.

Handgaurd

The URX 4 handgaurd is a slim line free float design featuring M-LOK Mounting slots stretching the entirety of the rail system. However, what makes the URX4  and MOD 2 system unique is the fact that there is not a separate barrel nut that the rail then attaches to. The URX4 is the barrel nut and integrates the rail system in a one piece design. This provides industry leading durability and the perfect host for laser devices and front sights. Because the rail itself is the barrel nut, rail shift on the barrel nut is eliminated, eliminating zero shift.

Flash Hider

The KAC 7.62mm 3-Prong Flash Hider interferes with propellant gas combustion forward of the muzzle to significantly reduce flash signature. This 3 prong flash hider will not ring upon firing and is compatible with the KAC line of 7.62mm QDC suppressors.
